Sweet Iron

The anatomically shaped Sweet Iron bits from Waldhausen feature a mouthpiece adapted to the horse's mouth. Sweet Iron consists of blue steel; when it comes into contact with (air) moisture, it begins to oxidize and a sweet, brown-grey surface rust forms. This stimulates the horse's saliva production. They start to foam better, which increases bit acceptance.
