Sweet Iron bits are made of iron and have a characteristic blue color. When they come into contact with (air) moisture, a sweet-tasting rust forms on the surface, which naturally stimulates saliva production. This causes the horse to foam more and accept the bit better.
A single-jointed mouthpiece has a hinge point, which means less pressure is exerted on the tongue compared to a double-jointed mouthpiece. It primarily exerts pressure on the bars and the sides of the tongue and can also affect the palate. A single-jointed mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.
The 3-ring bit, also known as a Pessoa bit, provides leverage that increases with the attachment of the reins. It is ideal for horses in the show jumping arena that tend to lean on the bit or push against the hand. Due to its severity, this bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.
TRUST equestrian bits are entirely Dutch. Every bit is designed, developed, and manufactured in the Netherlands, with a team of technical specialists working on production daily.
