The proven combination of vitamin E and selenium to support muscles
Vitamin E and selenium are essential for the function and structure of heart and skeletal muscles. A deficiency of vitamin E can lead to degenerative changes in the muscles. A selenium deficiency can also disrupt the entire immune system and lead to muscle sensitivity. The amount of these important nutrients a horse needs per day increases with increasing muscle performance, and horses with higher protein content in their feed also require more selenium. The targeted addition of the essential nutrients vitamin E and selenium is therefore particularly important in feeding sport horses. Sport horses have to perform increased muscle work and therefore require more vitamin E and selenium than horses with low muscle strain. For optimal utilization of vitamin E and selenium in the metabolism, Super-E 100 Selenium also contains vitamin C. Since the supply of essential amino acids (building blocks for muscles) is often limited in sport horses, Super-E 100 also provides the essential amino acid lysine.
