The bits from the Inno Sense line are suitable for use with all horses and are particularly recommended for young horses or those with sensitive mouths. The plastic used has been classified as safe by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), meaning it is free of plasticizers and has no harmful effects on humans or animals. Thanks to their stainless steel core, Inno Sense bits are particularly robust and durable. They promote a trusting and supple connection between the horse's mouth and the rider's hand.
The Pelham cheek piece combines the effectiveness of a snaffle with the precision of a curb bit. Equipped with a cheek piece, it can be used with either one or two reins. When used with one rein, a Pelham strap is required to connect the bit rings to the shank rings. The length of the shanks influences the intensity of the effect, with the Pelham with longer shanks being sharper than the Baby Pelham. It is mainly used for strong horses, those with limited mouth space for two mouthpieces, or horses that need to get used to a curb bit. However, this bit requires some experience in riding.
The Inno Sense Hard Tongue Freedom is made of a slightly harder synthetic material compared to the Tongue Freedom Medium. It is barely flexible and offers tongue freedom, which creates space for the tongue and reduces pressure on the center of the horse's tongue. The synthetic material used is also FDA-approved, which confirms its harmlessness and freedom from plasticizers.
