Sweet Iron bits from TRUST equestrian are a remarkable choice for horses that respond naturally and need gentle encouragement. Made from iron, they have a striking blue color. Through contact with (air) moisture, the sweet iron develops surface rust, which has a sweet taste and naturally stimulates saliva production. This causes the horse to foam more, which in turn helps it accept the bit better.
The single-jointed mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece that exerts less pressure on the tongue than a double-jointed mouthpiece due to a hinge point. It mainly exerts pressure on the bars and the sides of the tongue and can also affect the palate.
The D-ring cheekpiece is another innovation from TRUST equestrian. The D-rings ensure that the mouthpiece lies quietly and stably in the horse's mouth. The pressure of the cheekpieces against the cheek facilitates turning by automatically pushing the horse's head slightly in the right direction.
